A combination of circumstances led to PDP Shipping’s unsatisfactory initial public offering (IPO) listing, which was characterized by a large discount and subsequent reduced circuit hits. Moreover, a lack of strong market confidence was reflected in the IPO’s poor subscription and investor morale was damaged by the listing taking place below the issue price.
Furthermore, the market’s negative response was influenced by underlying worries about the company’s financial situation, which included falling revenue and mounting debt. In the end, these circumstances combined to give PDP Shipping IPO listing a subpar market debut.
