Kotak Securities offers various types of brokerage plans to cater for different traders and investors. The most prominent ones are Trade Free Youth Plan, Trade Free Plan and Trade Free Max Plan which have their own unique attributes.

Each plan targets particular sections of the trading community with varying levels of service and cost structures that enhance trading experiences and investment strategies.

Trade Free Youth plan

The Trade Free Youth plan is tailored for young traders and investors who are under 30 years old. This plan features zero brokerage fees for all trades across all segments which include Equity delivery, Equity intraday, Equity futures, Equity options, Currency futures, Currency options, Commodity futures, and Commodity options.

To access these benefits, there is an annual subscription fee of Rs. 499, which includes GST.

Trade Free Plan

The Trade Free Plan offered by Kotak Securities is a straightforward and cost-effective brokerage plan designed to benefit traders and investors. One of the most notable aspects of this strategy is the $0 brokerage for intraday trades in all segments, including equity (cash), equity derivatives (f&o), currency, and commodities.

This means you can trade actively without worrying about brokerage fees on intraday transactions. Additionally, the Trade Free Plan gives you access to top stock picks and extensive research from Kotak’s professional team of experts, allowing you to make informed investment decisions.

For equity delivery trades, the brokerage charges are set at either 0.25% of the trade value or Rs. 20, depending on which amount is greater. A flat fee of Rs. 20 is applied to F&O trades across Equity, Currency, and Commodity for carry forward trades, while intraday trades in these segments are free. There is no monthly fee in the Trade Free Plan.

Trade Free Max Plan
The Trade Free Max Plan from Kotak Securities offers highly competitive interest and brokerage rates. This plan offers free intraday trades across all segments, making it a popular choice among busy traders. Delivery trades incur a brokerage fee of 0.25% of the transaction value, with a minimum charge of ₹20 per executed order.

This guarantees that traders can predict the costs of their long-term investments. For individuals who use the Margin Trading Facility (MTF), the plan provides a daily interest rate of 0.028%, allowing traders to leverage their capital at a reasonable cost.
